What to have ready

  • Where the signing is, and when it needs to happen
  • Which document is being signed — the one you already have
  • Whether the signer has current photo identification
  • Whether the signer is able to communicate and acknowledge the signing themselves

That last one matters more than people expect, and it is better answered on the phone than discovered at the bedside.
